What’s In Ejuice? - Eliquid Ingredients Explained

Posted by

Ever wonder what is in your ejuice? What magical liquids come together to give you that perfect vapor cloud from your electronic cigarette? Ejuice ingredients can seem like a mystery, but really they are simply a combination of a few common ingredients. When they are blended together by experience eliquid manufacturers, those couple ingredients become your favorite eliquid - for instance, one of my favorites, Mother of the Unicorns Milk from 1000ml.me.

The main carrier liquids in you ejuice are propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, nicotine (optional) and flavorings. Now, don't be put off by these big, foreign sounding words - the main two ingredients, propylene glycol (also known as PG) and vegetable glycerin (also known as VG) are actually common food and beauty product ingredients, found in many household products like creams, gels, and even toothpaste!

PG is a thin, colorless liquid that “carries” the flavor and helps you taste it. PG also contributes to “throat hit” - that satisfying catch in your throat when you take an inhale. VG is the big vapor producer. High VG liquids (80% VG and above) give a smooth, cloudy vape. Vegetable glycerin is also a colorless liquid, but this one has high viscosity, making it a bit thicker than PG.

Nicotine is suspended in either PG or VG, and added to eliquid in measured doses so that vapers can choose the amount of nic in their vapor liquid. 1000ml.me offers 4 different nicotine strengths, 0 mg, 1.5 mg, 3 mg, and 6mg - in order to offer a variety of nicotine for vapers differing nicotine needs.

Flavoring is the fun part. That’s where professional flavor crafters like ourselves painstakingly create flavor blends that are sure to please the palate. A bit of this, a pinch of that, but all food-grade flavorings that give your ejuice its particular mix of sweet, savory, and satisfying.

And that’s it! Just a few ingredients to make your eliquid. Now you can share this post and inform all your friends!
